My first without him...

I've been thinking about Papa a lot lately...Thinking about all the holidays I spent at Gramma and Papa's house. Thinking of all the birthdays I waited for that phone call and the Happy Birthday song I heard on the other end....Vacationing out west, sitting on his lap, those special "Papa" hugs, splashing around in the spa, and those super fun boat rides. I was excited everytime I got to go see Gramma and Papa.

The other day, I got to realizing that this is my first Christmas and Birthday w/out the greatest man I ever met. I found a picture of Papa and I from my vacation and decided to make an ornament for the tree. It reminds me that no matter how bad or hard things get, I have a guardian angel looking down on me. I love you Papa and I miss you terribly every single day. I know that you are in a better place and I can't wait for the day I get to see you again. Watch over Gramma. I know this is going to be a rough Christmas for her too.

Something to think about...

Everyone concentrates on the problems we are having in this country
lately: illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking
people in Florida ...

Not me, I concentrate on solutions for the problems. It is a win-win
situation.

+ Send the dirt to New Orleans to raise the level of the levies.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad
cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born
in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in
the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls.
But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering
around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow. How about
finding one man in Afghanistan ?

The Constitution
They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq .... Why
don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart
guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we're not using it anymore.

The 10 Commandments
The real reason that we cannot have the Ten Commandments posted in a
courthouse is this: You cannot post 'Thou Shalt Not Steal,' 'Thou Shalt
Not Commit Adultery,' and 'Thou Shall Not Lie' in a building full of
lawyers, judges and politicians...It creates a hostile work environment.

Line Dancing

My friend Andrea and I have recently taken up a new hobby. There is a place called County Line in Melbourne. We go there on Thursday nights for ladies nights. We have recently discovered the joys of line dancing. Before we started going, I just thought of line dancing as something old people did. I mean, no offense, it's just what i always thought. We went and saw people our own age and some of those dances are HARD! I am proud of myself for learning one and I got it down perfect. Seriously, do yourself a favor and try it. This is the one I learned!

I decided to jump on the wagon and start a blog. There isn't much to tell about me. I moved back to Florida in April and I couldn't be happier. I really missed it. I met a pretty amazing guy at work and we've been dating for 4 months. I'm working on getting grants so I can go back to school. I'm really excited about it. I want to become a Radiologist. My mom moved to California and I really miss her, but it was the best decision. I don't really have anything else for now. Stay tuned....
